What if I don’t like UT?…
I felt this way last year, even though I was a longhorn sports ‘fan’ I was concerned that my place of education and actual living should be somewhere farther. 30 minutes from home seems so close when you’ve been coming downtown all through high school, but once you live here it’s a whole new story. I feel far from home and am extremely happy here. It’s a big school but it takes a lot of pride in its diversity and different ways you can get involved, there’s a really great National Student Photography org. that gives you experience, lessons, and networking for future careers- along with all kinds of religious small groups and worship sessions all week. Don’t be afraid to be “just a number”, you’re really not at UT… just some advice from an actual longhorn your age. I could see you really like it here, but always go with your most gut choice.

The only way you will be unhappy is if you try to be.
